Lauren Tapper – Candidate for President

Hi NFTYites! My name is Lauren and I’m 16 years old and a junior at the University of Chicago Lab Schools. In my free time I love to play with my Portuguese Water Dog, spend time outside, and hang out at any coffee shop I can find. I am an avid coffee drinker and boba’s biggest fan. I am also the co-founder of Covid-TV, an online platform connecting teens around the world during the pandemic.

Katherine McKeag – Candidate for Programming Vice President

Hi, I’m Katherine McKeag. I’m a junior at Highland Park Highschool. I’ve been involved with NFTY for 6 years. I’m also doing an international leadership fellowship with diller. As well as, teaching Hebrew and Sunday school at my synagogue. I’m running for Programming Vice-President for NFTY-CAR!

Justin Rubenstein – Candidate for Social Action Vice President

Shalom NFTY CAR! My Name is Justin Rubenstein and I am currently a Sophomore at Vernon Hills High School. I am a member of my school’s political club and Student Council. Outside of school, I work as a Madrichol at my Synagogue Or Shalom and I am an active member of my TYG. In my free time, I enjoy learning about history, politics, and world events. I like NFTY CAR because it is a vibrant Jewish community where I get to meet new people.

Molly Schless – Candidate for Social Action Vice President

My name is Molly Schless and I am going to be running for this year social action vice president. I am currently a Junior at Buffalo Grove high school. I love to sing read and hang out with my friends. Of course I also love to go to NFTY event. I have grown so much throughout my years in NFTY and I can’t wait to continue to grow with you.

Sarah Weiser – Candidate for Social Action Vice President

Hi NFTY-CAR! I’m Sarah Weiser, I’m an incoming sophomore at Wheeling Highschool, and I’m so excited to be running as your 2022-23 SAVP! In my free time you can find me laughing with friends, debating the plot of Jane the Virgin, playing the violin, doing gymnastics, eating dried strawberries, taking care of my pets, and participating in Jewish activities. NFTY has connected me to Jewish connections I have not had since I was in elementary school. I cannot wait to hear all your ideas and share my ideas with you on how together we can make a positive impact in our community!

Gabe Cook – Candidate for Religious and Cultural Vice President

Shalom NFTY, I’m Gabe Cook,I’m running for RCVP. I live in Champaign where I’m a rising junior at Champaign Central HS. I’ve been involved in Jewish youth activities, including attending URJ camps, my entire life. I’m excited to bring my experiences to a leadership opportunity in NFTY-CAR. AJ Jamieson – Candidate for Treasurer

Hello my name is Aj and here’s a bit to know about me! I have only recently in the last few years gotten into doing things that related to my Jewish identity. While I wish I could have started sooner I am beyond thrilled with how everything has gone for me including all the friends I have met along the way. In my personal time I love to hang out with said friends, listen and even make my own music from time to time. As well as those I like to go outside and really experience things outside the house when I can. Something else about me is my friends typically know me as someone who is always ready to have fun and try to give people a laugh!

Adi Berman – Candidate for Communications Vice President

Shalom NFTY-CAR! My name is Adi Berman and I’m running for Communications Vice President! I’m a current junior at Highland Park High School, where I participate in band and marching band. Outside of school, I enjoy playing clarinet and piano, spending time with friends, listening to music, and doing photography! I love NFTY because it has strengthened my connection to Judaism, and because it has introduced me to such an incredible and welcoming Jewish community!!
