Meet Our Staff
Stacy Bernstein, NFTY Midwest Area Associate Manager
Stacy is a St. Louis native, and grew up at Goldman Union Camp Institute (GUCI). She was involved in NFTY Missouri Valley in middle and high school and grew up as an active member of her home congregation. Stacy spent two years working as the Reform Teen Initiative Coordinator - a project of St. Louis Reform Congregations focused on teen engagement. Here, Stacy ran multiple middle school programs, a Peer Engagement Internship, and unique immersive experiences that were designed especially for teens. Stacy graduated from the University of Kansas in 2016 with her B.S. in Elementary Education and spent two years teaching in Topeka, KS.
Stacy currently lives in St. Louis, MO and loves Orange Theory Fitness, ice cream, and KU Basketball (Rock Chalk!)

Rabbi Richard Prass is the Rabbi Educator at Congregation Beth Am of Buffalo Grove. Before joining Beth Am in the summer of 2007, Rabbi Prass served as both Associate Rabbi and Director of Education at Temple Israel in New Rochelle, New York, and has experience in administration, teacher recruitment, teacher development, curriculum development, and instruction.
A native Midwesterner, Rabbi Prass heralds from Minneapolis, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was ordained by Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in May 2000. In addition to his experience in leading Temple Israel’s education program, Rabbi Prass was instrumental in energizing and enlarging the Temple’s youth groups. As an Associate Rabbi at Temple Israel, prior to his acceptance as Beth Am's education lead, he maintained a full pulpit, with preaching and lifecycle responsibilities.
Rabbi Prass also spent several summers working at Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute in Wisconsin. He is a member of the Chicago Association of Reform Jewish Educators (CHARJE), serving as the treasurer (2010-2015) and president (2015-2017). He serves as the Rabbinic Advisor to NFTY-CAR (2009-present), being granted the honor of lifetime membership in December of 2015. He volunteers at OSRUI, currently serving on the Rabbinic, Educator, Cantorial Advisory Committee (RECC). Rabbi Prass currently lives in Deerfield with his wife, Cantor Jennifer Frost, and their children, Lyla Ann, Ruth Adina, and David Lev.
Audrey Honig, NFTY CAR NFTY678 Coordinator
Audrey grew up attending OSRUI and as a member of Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard. She is now a senior at Kalamazoo College, where she studies English and Jewish Studies. Audrey serves as the President of Hillel and works as an intern for the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, both of which are roles she loves. Last spring, Audrey studied abroad in Jerusalem with the Nachshon Project, which helped her learn about Jewish leadership and make amazing connections. During the summers, you can find her with a smile on her face while working at OSRUI!
Audrey loves to play her accordion and read new books. She can’t wait to work with all the awesome middle schoolers who will develop a new love for NFTY!
